Celebrating Motherhood and Leadership: HASH Mother’s Day Dinner 2024 a Resounding Success
On Saturday, 11th May 2024, HASH proudly hosted its annual Mother’s Day Dinner at the Serena Hotel Dar es Salaam, bringing together 100 remarkable women from diverse backgrounds. With the theme “Parenting in the Digital Era,” the evening celebrated nurturing, resilience, and professional empowerment while offering practical insights for mothers navigating today’s fast-paced digital world.
This year’s event built on the success of HASH’s 2023 virtual engagement, which connected 120 mothers from across East Africa, Southern Africa, and the USA. In 2024, Tanzania and Uganda hosted simultaneous physical dinners, connected through live streaming, allowing women across borders to participate in real-time.
Thought Leadership and Practical Insights
The dinner featured engaging discussions led by a panel of distinguished experts:
A highlight of the evening was the fireside chat on Technology & Parenting, which explored data protection, cyberbullying, AI, and practical tools to help mothers manage their children’s digital presence safely.
Community, Connection, and Celebration
The Mother’s Day Dinner was more than an event — it was a celebration of women supporting women. Guests connected, shared experiences, and formed meaningful networks across industries and countries. From career mothers to angel moms, godmothers, and “rich aunties,” the diversity of attendees reinforced HASH’s commitment to inclusivity and empowerment.
Attendees left the evening inspired, equipped with practical tools, and connected to a growing network of like-minded women. This event highlighted HASH’s mission: to empower, connect, and advance women at every stage of their careers while celebrating their unique roles as nurturers and leaders.

Following the success of the 2024 Mother’s Day Dinner, HASH is committed to expanding its programs and creating even more cross-border opportunities for women to connect, learn, and grow.
