HASH was founded on the belief that no woman should navigate her leadership journey alone. I envisioned a space where women could connect, support one another, and access the tools needed to rise confidently into positions of influence. Together, we are not just building careers — we are shaping the future of leadership.
Vivian Temi, Founder
Hold A Sister’s Hand (HASH) was founded on a simple yet powerful belief: women rise higher when they rise together. This principle is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that collective support, shared knowledge, and intentional collaboration create pathways to leadership that no woman should have to navigate alone.
While women across East Africa are highly educated, ambitious, and active contributors to the workforce, many still encounter invisible yet deeply rooted barriers. These challenges include limited access to influential networks, gaps in mentorship and sponsorship, underrepresentation in boardrooms, and systemic biases within corporate and institutional structures. The issue is not a lack of talent, capability, or drive — it is a lack of equitable access to opportunity, visibility, and strategic support.
HASH was created to address this imbalance. We intentionally design spaces where women can connect authentically, learn strategically, and grow confidently. Through leadership development programs, structured mentorship ecosystems, and thought-leadership platforms, we provide both the practical tools and the supportive community necessary for sustainable advancement.
Our commitment goes beyond individual success. We are building a generation of confident, resilient, and visionary female leaders prepared to influence boardrooms, scale businesses, shape policy, and transform communities. By strengthening one woman, we strengthen families, institutions, and nations. At HASH, empowerment is not a slogan — it is a structured, measurable, and collective journey forward.
We work to close leadership and representation gaps by increasing women’s presence in executive, board, and decision-making spaces. Through intentional pathways, visibility platforms, and advocacy, we support women in stepping confidently into positions of influence.
We facilitate structured mentorship, sponsorship, and cross-industry connections that accelerate professional growth. By building strong networks rooted in collaboration rather than competition, we create ecosystems that unlock new opportunities.
Through leadership programs, expert-led sessions, and practical development initiatives, we provide actionable skills and insights that support career progression, executive readiness, and long-term impact.
Behind HASH is a passionate and purpose-driven team committed to advancing women in leadership across East Africa. Our leadership combines strategic vision, professional excellence, and a shared belief in collective empowerment.
